Amrabangladeshi

What is Amra Bangladeshi?

Amra Bangladeshi (AB) started at a typical weekend lounge-adda where ‘Bangladesh’ usually is the most popular issue to chat about. But some of us aspired to transform this chatting enthusiasm into doing things for the needy Bangladeshis. Initially eight families came together (May 2008) and decided to deposit $10 a month to create a fund that could be utilized to help treat a needy patient, provide educational expenses of poor students and other similar causes. Currently AB has grown to 16 families. Our web address is www.amrabangladeshi.com.au

AB Activities (so far)

Fund Raising for Shoeb: Shoeb is currently recovering from paralysis resulted from a recent brain surgery in Sydney. AB has helped raise fund to bring his family to Australia.

Treatment of little Anisha: Anisha, a beautiful little daughter of an ex cadet (CCR) is suffering from leukemia. AB has contributed a few dollars towards her treatment.

 Treatment of Sharif: Sharif is a young graduate engineer in Bangladesh currently suffering from complication of the backbone. AB has contributed some money towards his treatment.

AB has plans to:

         Procure  warm cloth to the ultra poor of Bangladesh in coming winter;

         Provide scholarship to needy students in Bangladesh;
